Educational Workshops on Tree Care
The Georgia Urban Forestry Council awarded the City of Oxford a grant this year. This project funds, among other events, tree care education for all of Oxford’s citizens, the Oxford College community, and City and College maintenance staffs.
We encourage everyone to attend these highly informative sessions and rare opportunities for furthering knowledge about tree benefits and tree care. We are lucky to have Connie Head and Beryl Budd and hope everyone will take advantage of these one-time, grant-funded opportunities. The two remaining workshops cover different topics, from tree-pruning to preparing trees for changing seasons.
Connie Head and Beryl Budd will conduct these educational workshops on tree care for the general public at the George Street Park (between Wesley and Asbury Streets near Allen Memorial Church) Saturday, April 18 from 9am - noon and Saturday, June 20 from 9am – noon.
All are encouraged to attend.
