Electric Line Tree Trimming – Burford, Inc. is in the middle of their one month assignment to trim the trees near, under, and over our electric lines. Monday they were working beside city hall in front of Orna Villa.

Snapping Shoals EMCWe have attached a copy of a letter that Snapping Shoals EMC has sent to some of their customers in the City of Oxford. They are going to start showing the 4% franchise fee on the electric bills. The franchise fee has been in place for as long as we can remember, but it just has not been shown as a separate item on the bill.

Stormwater Certification – The state Environmental Protection Division (EPD) requires that we complete an annual stormwater compliance report. One of the requirements is that we have certified staff to make sure we comply with all the EPD stormwater rules. Here is the certificate Scottie Croy earned last week while in training to help fulfill that requirement.

Election Day – City Hall was a polling place for Tuesday’s primary election. Here are the election workers getting ready for what turned out to be a very busy day.
